Faire: An American Renaissance
Huzzah!
After
5 years in the making, we are proud to announce the
release of a the ground-breaking new documentary chronicling the
story of Faire - a phenomena which has spread both nationally
and internationally.
In 1963, on a small field on Haskels
Rascals
Ranch in Los
Angeles, an event known as the "Renaissance Pleasure
Faire" was born as a history teacher's class project. From a
school yard fundraiser, Ron and Phylis Patterson took a weekend
event and turned it into a worldwide phenomenon. In the years
since, Faires have given life to street performance, jousting,
handmade arts & crafts, and living history scenarios.
Today Faire continues to touch the lives of millions of people a
year.
This limited edition DVD is a double layer disk
(2 DVD's in 1) with over an hour of deleted scenes, extra
historical footage, a music video and more!
