Victorian Spring Fling - Postponed until 2021





A CELEBRATION OF SPRING WITH A WONDERLAND TWIST


Medieval Fantasies Company in cooperation with the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum's Gardens is honoured to present the 2nd Annual Victorian Spring Fling and in the theme of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, published in 1865.


Guests are invited to join in Victorian Performers, Games and Activities as well as a Downtown Staunton Egg Hunt and Scavenger Hunt throughout the day until 4 p.m. Participation in games and activities is Free!

Churchville Lantern Tour Tea





We invite you to take a step back in time to the glory days of Churchville for a relaxing afternoon tea in the Historic "Bank" Building located in the heart of Churchville, Virginia. An elegant afternoon with hot teas, a variety of delicacies to include traditional Welsh Cakes, Bara Brith "speckled bread" and Welsh Scones as well as tasty finger sandwiches.

Middle Earth Afternoon Tea - Postponed





We invite you to join us for a Tolkien themed Afternoon Tea to celebrate the anniversary of the One Ring being returned to Mount Doom in Mordor traditionally on March 25th. Selections will include Dwarven Giddle Cakes, Beorn's Honey Cake, Bilbo's Seed Cake, Lembas Bread, Goldberry's Strawberries and Cream Bread as well as savory tea sandwiches and hot tea.

Fredericksburg Welsh Festival





The Fredericksburg Welsh Festival is the Fredericksburg area oldest and longest running Celtic Festival.


It takes place on October 5, from 11:00am until 5:00pm in the 900 block of Charles Street in front of the James Monroe Museum.


This Festival celebrates the Welsh culture America in honor of Elizabeth Jones, the mother of our 5th President, James Monroe.

Fort Bragg Renaissance Faire

Queen City Mischief and Magic





Wizards and muggles from near and far descend upon Staunton, Virginia for the annual Queen City Mischief & Magic. With a touch of wizardry, the historic downtown is transformed into a magical village, offering themed shopping, dining and hands-on activities for all ages. Experiment with potions. Enjoy delicious wizard fare and libations. Try your hand at wild beast taming or wizard dueling. ​Visitors are greeted by Norberta the Dragon, where selfies and costumes are encouraged. Unlock the secrets of Staunton's bewitching historic downtown using our Mischief Map. Use Traipse, the free app, to explore our walkable downtown while solving puzzles designed to tickle every wizard's brain... and maybe find a few treasures along the way.

Celebrate the magic of Hogwarts and a certain wizard’s birthday with themed activities, events, and magical surprises throughout the museum. Practice your best Quidditch moves, learn Care of Magical Creatures, browse Diagon Alley, get a henna tattoo or magical fairy hair, and so much more! Costumes encouraged! All activities included with regular admission.

Did you know Woodrow Wilson liked Magic? He even invited Harry to the White House – Harry Houdini that is! Come celebrate another special boy wizard and learn all about magic through the eyes of our 28th president. Activities will include: Special Visitors from the Wizard World Magical activities Lantern Tours of the birthplace with an emphasis on Victorian magical superstitions Educational Discovery area on the magic of the Harry’s Pre-register for discounted tickets: $10 per adult, $5 per child, members get in free. At the Door: $15 per adult, $10 per child, members get in free.
