Management of the Event to include Lord & Lady of Ceremonies, set up, maintenance and take down of all tentage and decorations.

MFC Gyfte Shoppe

As a fundraiser for the Organization, 10% of the Gyfte Shoppe sales would go to the Organization if the Organization is able to provide a Shoppe Keeper for the duration of the Event.

 

Games

As a fundraiser for the Organization, Games may be Staffed by Organization members. 1/2 of the proceeds collected would go to the Organization. If Staffed by MFC all proceeds are the property of MFC.
Each Game is $1.00 per play

   

Merchants

If desired MFC will Contract the appropriate number and type of Merchants best fitting the theme and grounds of the Event.

As a fundraiser the Organization would receive 10% of the Merchants' total sales.  This amount would be collected by MFC who would in turn make payment to the Organization by company check within 2 weeks of the Event. 

MFC encourages the Organization to provide concessions and therefore retaining all proceeds of Food sales.

Human Chess

A life sized version of the game where Nobles learned the Art of Warfare. Participants become the chess pieces, only the Kings need know how to play the game.
 


Knighting Ceremony

A recreation of a Squire receiving their Accolade of Knighthood.

Muffin Man

Participants are asked questions from ten categories relating to the Middle Ages. Each correct answer is awarded a muffin.

 

The Organization is asked to provide the Faire Grounds, Toilet Facilities and Trash Disposal as well as act as Liaison with Local Law Enforcement and Safety Officials. No vehicles will be allowed onto the grounds with the exception of situations requiring the setup and takedown of tentage or other equipment that could not be accomplished otherwise and emergency vehicles.

The Organization is responsible for Staffing the Gate as well as collecting all Admission fees; the amount of these fees will be determined by the Organization. All gate fees are the property of the Organization and MFC makes no claim to them. 

MFC begs the boon of being allowed to arrive the day prior to the Event, make encampment therin and set up the grounds prior to commencement of the Event. Permission for cooking fires for MFC and Living History encampments is requested, so that food may be prepared for MFC Staff. All fires are contained in UL/NFPA approved braziers. As well, permission is requested to bring those Period weapons we possess upon the grounds in keeping with the Rank of Knighthood and the recreation of the Middle Ages.

At least one representative from the Organization must be present upon the grounds during the operating hours of the Event which are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  

MFC operates rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather which would be unsafe for Staff or Patrons to include but not limited to Temperatures below 32 degrees or above 105 degrees Fahrenheit, Lightening within 1 mile, Hurricanes, Tornados, Snow or Ice which make roadways unsafe or Damaging Winds.

Medieval Fantasies Company is insured by Bradley Insurance Company, PO Box 3226 1427 N. Augusta St. Staunton, Va. 24401.

The cost for this service is $400.00 plus mileage for a one day Event or $700.00 plus mileage for a two day Event.
